Lake Size:  972 Acres

Lake Notes:  Specializing in Largemouth Bass, Black Crappie and Bluegill.  Palestine Lake offers fair bass fishing for small yearling-size bass. The best baits are spinner baits, black or purple plastic worms and small topwater lures. These small bass can be caught throughout the year. Black crappie fishing is excellent and these fish can be caught throughout the year. During winter fish are taken by drifting live minnows in open water and in summer by fishing small jigs around brush type fish attractors.

Lake Notes:  Specializing in Largemouth Bass and Sunshine Bass.  Schooling bass make up the majority of all bass caught on this lake. Small lures of any type will catch fish; however, the most productive is the plastic worm. Fishing should be done near the maidencane shoreline. The peak season is February through April. Sunshine bass are taken on a regular basis by fishing dead shiners on the bottom. The peak season is December through March.
