Located off SR 60 on Blue Cypress Rd in Fellsmere
Lake Notes: Specializing in
Largemouth Bass, Bluegill and Shellcracker. Black Crappie and Warmouth
also caught. Blue Cypress is best known for its Black Crappie that are
caught in abundance by anglers drifting to locate a school, then anchoring to
fish. Sunshines are also taken in this manner, and the primary bait used is a
Missouri minnow or small jig. Bass fishing is good around areas of structure or
cover such as the cypress shoreline. Bluegill can be taken on live bait or a fly
rod with summer months the best. Average lake depth of 8 ft. It is
home to the origin of the St. Johns River.

Specializing in largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish and black crappie.
Average depth of 8 ft.
This highly productive system contains
an outstanding catch-and-release bass fishery. Harvest of other species is
allowed and an excellent bream, crappie and catfish population is provided.
Anglers find fish near stumps, submerged canals and hydrilla domes. Known as one of the top 10 Bass fishing spots in Florida.
Plastic worms,
spinnerbaits, crankbaits, soft jerkbaits, and topwater propeller baits are
effective. Wild golden shiners are the top choice for anglers looking to catch a
trophy fish.
